White Center’s own Big Al Brewing is turning two next month, and they’ve got quite the party planned.  Look forward to live music, excellent food, ice cream, and of course… beer.

Founded in 2008 by Alejandro “Big Al” Brown,  Big Al Brewing hasn’t wasted any time gaining the respect of the Seattle microbrewing community.  In their short but respectable tenure, they’ve won legions of fans with their popular house ales—a smoked porter, an irish red, a pale ale, an IPA and an amber—and attracted plenty of acclaim for their seasonal brews, like their Brougham Bitter, inspired by Seattle soccer fans, and their Abbey Wheat, a belgian style wheat beer.  Big Al Brewing also set themselves apart when they introduced their Local Hero, a rotating seasonal beer inspired by the recipes of local homebrewers.

Big Al’s second birthday promises to be an excellent time for all.  On Saturday, August 7, party-goers can enjoy Dante’s Inferno Dogs from 1 to 10 pm,  White Center’s favorite Full Tilt Ice Cream, and the music of Rat City Brass from 6pm to 8pm.  Sunday August 8 will cater to the family crowd from 2pm to 7pm, offering up White Center’s own Proletariat Pizza, more delicious Full Tilt Ice Cream, and the music of Seattle’s Casper Baby Pants at 3pm.
