The Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce (we’re members) wants our Readers to know that they’re seeking Participants and Sponsors for the 2012 Burien Independence Day Parade on the 4th of July.
“If you know of a church, club, old car enthusiast, etc. who should be a part of this great community event, invite them to join us this year,” reads an announcement.
FYI, our sister site The B-Town Blog will be in this year’s parade, walking with perhaps the coolest piece of B-Town history – the Miss Burien Hydroplane!
Some of the usual parade participant categories include:
- Marching Band
- Marching Unit
- Drill Team
- Military
- Specialty Dance
- Float (include size) Number of walkers
- Car (specify antique, 20 max/club)
- Hydroplane
- Specialty Entry
- Other
- Public Official/Candidate
