The White Center Chamber of Commerce will hold a special session luncheon meeting on Tuesday, July 17 at the Triangle Tavern from Noon – 1:30 p.m., and word has it that the Board has made a decision about its new website, logo and branding.

As many of our Readers may recall, we first reported in early June on how the chamber got in hot water after showing screenshots from a proposed new website that included a Rat mascot, using the phrase “kick it in Rat City.

An informal poll conducted on this website showed that 78% of over 180 respondents did not find the phrase “Rat City” offensive.

Later, we reported about a chamber meeting that erupted in fireworks as business owners chimed in their thoughts on the controversial rodent mascot.

Come early for best seating – this could be an interesting meeting.

The Triangle Tavern is located at 9454 Delridge Way SW.

The feature that makes this meeting special, is that this meeting will be WCCC’s first-ever (in a long time) luncheon in the summer. Historically, WCCC has taken a summer break from monthly luncheons. This year, WCCC feel it’s important to continue the conversation of covering current affairs, sharing announcements, and supporting the business community year-around. See everyone Tuesday for lunch at Mac’s Triangle Pub.
