Early Monday morning (Jan. 27, 2020) at about 4:10 a.m., King County Sheriff Deputy Dosio was driving on 4th Ave SW, approaching the intersection of SW 116th Street in White Center, when he heard what sounded like multiple gun shots.

Police say that Deputy Dosio then saw two vehicles, a red Acura and a white sedan, driving recklessly through the intersection. Deputy Dosio pointed his spotlight at the driver of the red Acura, who immediately put his black hoodie over his face so he couldn’t be identified. Deputy Dosio thought the drivers were in some type of road rage incident, as they continued to swerve towards each other while driving fast.

Deputy Dosio turned and attempted to catch up to the vehicles, which he now believed were in a gun fight. He was unable to catch either vehicle.

A short time later, different deputies notified dispatch that they located a red Acura in the 8800 block of 1st Ave South. The Acura had wrecked and flipped over on its top. Two male adults were still inside the vehicle, uninjured. They were both removed from the vehicle.

A loaded handgun was found inside the Acura (see photo below). The driver admitted he is a convicted felon who isn’t allowed to possess a firearm.

The driver was arrested and transported to the King County Jail for the gun charge.

The white sedan was not located.
