The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at around 5 a.m., the pictured suspect forced his way into the rear door of Taco Bell in the 10700 block of 16th Ave SW in White Center (map below).
Police say he then physically stole the safe from the business.
Here’s a montage of surveillance photos showing the suspected thief in action:
Police say the suspect walked into the office and began breaking into the safe using a crowbar and reciprocating saw.
Around 5:45 a.m. he can be seen carrying part of the safe as he exits the building.
He returned to the business around 6:30 a.m. He was wearing a different sweatshirt and appears to be carrying a bundle of tools. He attempted to gain access to the remaining part of the safe, and was eventually able to open the safe and remove cash, which he stuffed inside a duffel bag.
Around 7 a.m., employees began entering the building which appeared to startle the suspect. He quickly gathered his items and left.

Sad. It took him two hours. Where was KCSO, they really need to get it together and find deputies that want to do their job. The lack of KCSO presence allows people like this to do whatever they want.
I would wonder if there was a alarm and why did the alarm company not respond or did they respond. Also was there a call to the police while this was going on . Then the amount of police on duty at that time and where any available or busy with more important calls (shooting, gang activity, other robberies, bigger crimes).
Then was this guy noticeable from the out side of the building king county has a policy of not going in a building with out owner’s consent(if they can’t get a hold of owner they are stuck) and not allowing a k9 in because what if it happens to be a district manger or something that forgot the key or locked the keys in some how or had a manger just quit and left with the keys district manger had to break in . Then happens to be hard of hearing gets bit by k9 and sues king county for millions . Oddly enough in this day and age it can happen .
They catch the guy he gets a easy slap on wrist and is out before the cops finish the next call . Because of political people writing laws to protect criminals over non criminals . Leaving us to wonder why and seeing these people out re-offending every day . I start to feel sorry for the police dealing with same people every day . At least it could make their job a little easier knowing who is known for committing what crimes then tracking them down . But prosecutor giving out slaps on the wrist And others going oh you could catch this virus (even though we could close off out side visitation for a few weeks problem solved) but no so you get out early . Don’t re offend or we will oh wait never mind . See you next time .
