Seattle’s Alcohol Funnycar recently released a COVID-19 pandemic-themed song/music video – “Someday” – that features scenes shot in White Center and West Seattle, including mural art by Artist Andrew Schons, aka @Pazuzu810.

White Center locations spotted in the video include Beer Star and Rat City Records; West Seattle spots include Easy Street Records and West 5.

According to their Facebook page:

Alcohol Funnycar was formed in Seattle in 1991 by Ohio expatriate Ben London, a graduate of Antioch College who had moved West with future members of 7 Year Bitch and the Gits. The initial lineup consisted of guitarist/vocalist/songwriter London, ex-Love Battery bassist Tommy “Bonehead” Simpson, and drummer Buzz Crocker. Their 1993 debut EP, Burn, established a melodic pop-punk approach indebted to the early-’80s Minneapolis scene (Husker Du, Replacements, Soul Asylum, etc.); their first full-length album, Time to Make the Donuts, followed later in the year. Citing touring-induced strain, Buzz Crocker left the band, and new drummer Joel Trueblood was introduced on 1995’s Weasels.

Apparently London and Simpson are recording together again:

SOMEDAY
Grief’s moving to another stage
Fifty days locked in a cage
And it’s just another day
Just another day

Isolation has taken its toll
A full house and I’m ready to fold
And it’s just another day
Just another day

This year’s gonna last forever
Someday we’ll be back together

Woke up scared, staring out at the street
Can’t get my check, or any relief
And it’s just another day
Just another day

Sinking deeper, down with the news
I’m agitated, Dazed and confused
And it’s just another day
Just another day

This year’s gonna last forever
Someday we’ll be back together

I’m in your mind, you’re in my mind

Someday we’ll be back
Someday we’ll be back
Someday we’ll be back together

This year’s gonna last forever
Someday we’ll be back together
This year’s gonna last
This year’s is gonna last
This year’s gonna last
