The King County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying two individuals involved in a commercial burglary in the Top Hat neighborhood near White Center:

Police say that on Nov. 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., King County deputies were called to an apartment complex in the 11000 block of 1st Avenue SW (map below). The apartment manager stated that at 6:47 a.m., two males broke into the locked laundry room and stole quarters from the laundry machines.

The outer door had been pried open and so had the coin boxes on the laundry machines. The burglars tripped a motion alarm in the laundry room, which alerted a maintenance employee, who happened to live next door to the laundry room. He responded and found the two males inside. Both of them ran out the door after being discovered.

The maintenance employee described both male suspects as in their late 30’s. One of the males was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and the other male was wearing a gray dark hooded sweatshirt. There is no additional suspect information at this time.
