The King County Sheriff’s Office – which provides police services to the White Center area – says “If you can’t bring a hand truck to a burglary, apparently an office chair will do:”

Police say that Mar. 1, 2021 at 7:50 a.m., a King County deputy was dispatched to the 1500 block of SW 98th Street in unincorporated King County (map below) for a commercial burglary.

Deputies arrived on scene and found the glass on the front door shattered, indicating the burglar’s point of entry.

Deputies spoke with the manager who advised the suspect had taken the business safe, along with several electronic devices belonging to the business.

Deputies were provided video footage which showed the suspect entering the office around 5:24 a.m. that morning, and leaving three minutes later with the safe being pushed on an office chair.

The suspect is described as a male, thin build, wearing gloves, a neck gaiter style face mask, all black clothing and a hat with a possible “VOLCOM” (brand) logo.
